Schools Outreach

Register interest now!

Outreach is an important aspect of doing science. It gives researchers an opportunity to raise awareness about their work, while inspiring the next generation of scientists. This is especially important to reach out to BIPOC and BAME communities early on in their educational trajectories to enable them the freedom and choice to see science as an option. With this is mind, the BIPOC STEM Network has developed a database of schools within and around Oxfordshire who are keen to engage our members in outreach activities ranging from speaking at assemblies to running classroom sessions.

If you are a BIPOC/BAME researcher in Oxford, and interested in outreach, please register your interest here, and we will be in touch shortly. We can take into account your interests and match you with a school, where you will be free to design your own outreach session with them. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch!
